Soup and a Tropical Storm Called Ernesto

This Ernesto guy is whipping around North America, he's coming to my town tomorrow, so I propose soup, which I always crave on rainy days. Does that suit y'all? How about Superb Borscht? Beets are so pretty, just don't wipe up with a tea towel you want to keep looking fresh.

Carla

p.s.
Did you know Ernesto was Che Guevara's given name?

Yum! This sounds great, even though in SoCal it is still in the 80's-90's, who doesn't love a good borscht?

My brother just moved to FLA [Fort Lauderdale to be exact] this week and he already is experiencing his first hurricane. Maybe he will move back. :)

Cheers!

Yeah, it's not quite winter weather here in Iowa, either, but the nights are getting cooler! And the borscht sounds yummy, no matter what the weather.

Oooo, sorry for being geographically-centric. I hope it won't be too hot in your kitchens when you make the borscht. I was just getting itchy to make my Friday afternoon grocery list so I looked for a recipe quick.

Sorry about your brother in Florida, Hayley! Crazy times down there. Ernesto will just be a tropical storm by the time it gets here to Toronto tomorrow.

No problem, Carla. I plan to use my pressure cooker, which will minimize the heat in the kitchen. And I eat soup any time of year, no matter how hot (or cold) it is!
